TCH is located in a privileged geographical position at the entrance of the Gulf of Mexico and between the two Americas. Thanks to that, we serve as transshipment port between places so distant as Europe, Canada, Brazil and the countries of the Gulf of Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean. Also, TCH counts with a high qualified and experienced staff and the know-how and the international contacts of the Spanish group TCB (Grup TCB, Terminal de Contenedores de Barcelona). TCH has a surface of 18 hectares and 450 lineal meters of berth. The maximun draught along the bert is of 9.75 mts, having the possibility of dredging up to 12 meters. We have 3 gantry cranes and 1 mobile harbour crane, all them of Panamax type. The container yard of TCH is operated with a mixed technology that includes 2 cranes type RMGs (Rail Mounted Gantry), 12 Stradle Carriers, combined with 8 frontal stackers for the handling of empty containers, 3 Reach Stackers and terminal tractors and trailers.

We have 9,000 square meters sheltered warehouse for stuffing and unstuffing containers, fully equiped which for an efficient operation.

In addition, we have 340 plugs for reefer containers, which place us into one of the best equipped terminals within the Caribbean and Central America area for this kind of traffic.

TCH is open 24 hours during the 365 days of the year for loading/unloading of ships, and Gate Reception/Delivery of containers from the 07:00 to 23:00 from Monday to Friday and, from 07:00 to 15:00 hrs on Saturdays.

At client's request, we enable Recepction/Delivery shifts in any other schedule, being important to highlight that our rates are flat, i.e., we do not apply overtime charges for night or week-end shifts.

In ships operation, we have reaching productivities of international standards, averaging between 25 and 30 movements per crane-hour.

Our rates are competitive in relation with those offered by other ports of the region, which, combined with the efficiency and quality of our service, have resulted in the satisfaction expressed by our clients.

The efficiency of our service leans on the capability and devotion of our team work and it is also sustained by a modern automated system to take decisions and compile information, linked to the process of billing.

TCH pays special attention to the security of people, ships and loads, being ISPS Certified. We have a specialized security service, CCTV 24 hours monitoring, and the most important thing: we give our workers an appropriate remuneration and we develop a sense of property which makes then feel that both, Terminal and loads belongs to them. which makes them feel that Terminal and loads are theirs.
